Dear All
Could anyone give me or add to a basic list of stretches for cycling. Just want to keep myself reasonably injury free and flexible enough to get most out of my road bike. From looking on interweb the following seem useful - anymore that I should do

I do the quad stretch from the second link and a calf stretch by leaning towards a wall with heels on the ground after almost every ride.
I was told to do these stretches for a non cycling related problem I had many years ago and have just carried on with them. I seem to ache a bit less after riding when I do them compared to when I don't. Sorry for lack of science0 -
Nothing particularly wrong with either link. Just remember to stretch when the muscles are WARM post ride.
Also - do as much stretching as you can as close to the floor as possible. Helps promote easier venous return (blood leaving muscle that was working) and prevent nasty stuff like CVD/CVI and varicose veins/DVT0 -
I'd began a basic stretching routine. Then found this:

Very useful...does the basics & I feel better than just the usual stretching. It's a bit deeper...Written by a Yoga Instructor for cyclists and she rides herself. I'm going to start a Yoga class. A particular type that is aimed at sporting rehab (getting over a knee issue)/ So it's not all Joss sticks & Yummie Mummies...0
