Sven Nys is the favourite, think the course will suit him more than Albert

Do you think? Didn't think he had been going so well lately.

Calm before the storm. Him or Stybar for me.
It's not so much about winning, I just hate losing.

The parcours looks mostly really fast - a bit dull. The after-party on the other hand... http://vimeo.com/58342005
  • Albert showing the US how to race cross.

Hmm, cowbells. That's going to be irritating after about 10 minutes.

    Stybar isn't riding.

Nys is a favourite, but not the favourite, especially given his record at the Worlds. He's also a slow starter, in relative terms, and may be hamstrung by another Belgian going off the front and not being able to chase. It's happened before.
  • Going to go out on a limb, I think a Belgian will win the men's elite race. :D

    50 lines for me.

If there's snow and ice and a fast loop like that last world cup race, they could be butchered - there was definitely a bit of panic after no Belgians on the podium at Hoogerheide 2 weeks ago.

The weather doesn't look that bad though
  • Word is the Belgian team enjoyed a night in Hooters last night :)
