No, it was PT that caused me to have chapped hands, since I always felt the need to wash them after using PT to avoid the colds and flu left by minging, coughy, sneezy PT users. Yet another advantage of cycling.

    Do you have OCD?

I don't know, let me check (and check and check and check)

I wasn't washing my hands obsessively, just when I got off the bus/train in the morning and when I got home. That stripped any natural moisture off my hands and the winter weather was enough to really chap them. Plus I was doing quite a lot of bike tinkering which required serious washing to get the grease off. Perhaps gloves or swarfega rather than fairy liquid would have been a good call.
  • E45 from Boots does the business but any cheap baby lotion is the best form of moisturizer possible. The cheap bit is vital as it means you don't have scent additives which reduce the effectiveness of the oils.
    'fool'
  • Bloody bottle washing and nappies etc. I've still got dry hands and stopped doing all that about 6 years ago. Try the Cien stuff from Lidl. Only a proper bloke would use such cheap shite and there's no chance of any female colleagues going near the stuff.
