Strength and Conditioning Training

Hi
One of the sports coaches in my school has started strength and conditioning training for anyone in senior year. It consisted of squats, jump squats, push ups, lunges etc. in circuit form, no weights used. So the first week I went to it and the next day was in agony! Not that thats a bad thing but it did put me out for the weekend. The second week it went better. So I was wondering, Is this type of training good for cyclists or not? Sorry of the ignorance

Great for general fitness- not particularly great for cycling.
Amazingly only 1 thing can improve that.0
