10m TT indoors

So tonight I thought I would give a 10m TT a go in the gym on a spin bike. Because its getting dark earlier and I don't get home till later this is the best option. Ok so I know this is a tit arse way about doing it. But I researched the average top time for a 10m and it seemed to be roughly 20min. So I rode for 20mins, with a cadence of 103 and a hr% of 82 (rough) maxium was 92% and I managed 8.7 mile. So shows I'm 1.3 off the pace of the big boys, I know this is without headwinds, elements, road conditions etc. but for a first attempt, how did I do?

What a question.
Why not go and do it on a road then you'll know exactly how you did.Blog on my first and now second season of proper riding/racing - www.firstseasonracing.com0 -
Speed and distance on an indoor trainer is meaningless. As a training aid, use time and intensity of effort as your guide.
There are a few high end computer controlled ergometers that can nearly replicate the speed/resistance of outdoors and simulate courses but they are not spin bikes.0
