Cavendish to quit Sky...part 2

Halfman Halfbiscuit
edited September 2012 in Pro race
Back in July, at the start of the 2nd week in the tour, I posted this; viewtopic.php?t=12865054&p=17728374

Jesus, a torrent of opprobrium was heaped upon me. A lot of posts saying "I disagree, he'll stay with Sky" which is more than fair enough but also quite a lot of patronising pish along the lines of "you're just wrong", "end of thread", etc. The usual internet forum law of the playground stuff. Quite funny really. Read em and weep...

  • Haha - well played sir. I wonder how many will now admit they were wrong. I missed the thread first time round but some really childish reaction to your post - all except afx, for i also want a dukla prague away kit. :D

momentarily from the herd and thinks for himself.

    Page 3 is good.
  • This should be merged into one "See what did I tell you thread"

It's always nice to cherrypick our predictions which turn out to be correct.

Can I include my "Froome won't make the Vuelta podium" call

I'll not be including my "Wiggins won't beat Evans" and "Cav won't finish the Tour".......even started threads for those
“New York has the haircuts, London has the trousers, but Belfast has the reason!
  • Hehe, there wasn't much cherrypicking in it, it's the one and only prediction I've ever made on here! (19 posts and counting, I'm a dilettante)

Nothing has been officially announced yet. Most of the Pro Race pundits seem to think he'll be going to OPQS.

If you really think you'll find out where Cav is going from the pages of this forum, or anything else of genuine worth and not just opinion and gossip, then more disappointment is sure to follow.

Damn, I was just starting to enjoy seeing him get dropped on the tiniest of lumps with his lack of cronies at Sky. Maybe he needs to improve his ability in getting to the end of a race, instead of relying on a whole team, heck even Greipel even gets over hills better than he does.

There's plenty of news of genuine worth posted on this forum. Stay around for more than 2 mins and that will become obvious.

Or alternatively don't stick around. If you think there's not much reason to stick around why did you feel the need to come back and prove to a load of people you have never met that you were right all along. Seems like the typical forum behaviour you were so happy to slate above.

    Well done

Cav went to Sky for £££ and no I don't blame him for that

Cav's now working in a job with a future. He hands me my Giro every two weeks. And me I'm on the lookout for a proper transformer.

    Good night all.

I really hate it too, have I ever mentioned that I am so awesome at being humble that I won an award?

Goodness, all that just because of a time check? Touchy. Besides, I'll stick around if that's ok with you. BikeRadar forums have plenty of really good stuff but the Pro Race threads tend to be mostly opinion (which can be good) and mindless gossip (not so good) and patrolled regularly by the odd pompous twit. When Cav signs for a new team, which seems likely now, his agent will inform his PR handlers to make an official announcement. Or Cav himself might do it via Twitter. What won't happen is, halfway through the discussions, his agent breaking off negotiations to post a topic specifically on BikeRadar so that we select few are in on the final word hours or days before anyone else.

You're really are snatching defeat from the jaws of victory here.

lol, me thinks the man doth protest too much. There's another two minutes you'll never get back.
  • Sky are now using Cav as a lead-out man. Water boy, lead-out man - what next, give him the team's kit to wash?
They use their cars as shopping baskets; they use their cars as overcoats.
