how good is training with a power metre :?: is it a much more acurate then a hr monitor :?: or is it just you can see your improvements more clearly :?: .do you need a hr monitor if you have a power metre :?: . do you need to know at how many watts is lactate threshold to get the most out of a power metre :?: a lot of questions i know :?

The reason why training with power is fundamentally different from other approaches is that it measures output. Also it's consistent and does not lie. So it makes the perfect measure of your own performance over time and compared to other riders.
The next best thing would be to measure speed but this is far more subject to external variables out of your control.
What's more if you know your power then you are in a much better position to assess your speed and improve it through things like position/equipment.Martin S. Newbury RC0
