Turbo Trainer and my Bike Computer!!

This may seem like a silly question....if so Sorry!!
But I got myself a turbo trainer yesterday, set it all up to have a whirl on it before realising my computer is set up for my front wheel, meaning I got no info on how bad I was doing!!!
Can you put your magnet thing on to a back wheel? I cant see any reason why not but I cant recall seeing this before? I have a wired computer at the moment so I guess the wire will look horrible running round the bike, I have just bought a wireless computer, will this be ok to mount on the back wheel?
Thanks Guys

Shouldn't be a problem if the wire is long enough.0

My former computer, a Polar CS100, didn't have enough range to broadcast between the rear wheel and computer on the stem. That was another reason to upgrade to a Garmin. All the above is just advice .. you can do whatever the f*ck you wana do!

How does the Garmin work with a turbo trainer? I thought it only measured speed via gps.0

Can be bought bundled with a GSC10 Speed/cadence sensor0
