Wow. That's also a close contender for top spot. I like it :D

    Road - Dolan Preffisio
    MTB - On-One Inbred

I have no idea what's going on here.

I suppose it's OK to post mine again, it's been a year since I bought it. Still love it and have dropped a couple of the spacers as my flexibility has improved. Put new Ksyrium Elites on it in May 8)

On another note take a look at the Cervelo website as the 2013 models are on there and damn they look good.

I've had a look and think they look hideous TBH. WTF have they done with the Cervelo branding on the TT? It's not even straight! :x

The only colour way I like is the RC5A and I can't afford one

    Beautiful bikes......

I have the S2 in mind when i come to jump to the next stage in my road cycling,So how do these ride ????

Are they for shorter trips out rather than all day in the saddle ?

I mainly only do between 30-50 miles when i go out.

The S2 is a fantastic bike, and is the one i went into the shop for, but the salesman decided my style of riding (hills and long distance) the R5 would be the better bike for me. The s series, was described to me as a fast machine for racing etc.

I went for the R5 and have been very very pleased. Altough on Sunday went for a ride with my mate who was on his S2 and he loves it and did just as well on our 70 mile ride!

    Thanks for that mate.

I've got a Cervelo S1 (Alloy) and some people say they are a harsh ride over longer distances. I disagree, last sunday I rode mine 230 miles  and got off the bike not fazed a bit.

    sorry - half a day. I used my S1 for a 12 hour TT 8)
  • I was considering a Cervelo R5 VWD recently but ended up going for a Cannondale SuperSix EVO. The Cannondale was lighter, I preferred the ride, and it fitted me slightly better. The problem with cervelo is the build kits all have such sh*t wheels. Why spend $8000 on a bike and get Fulcrum Racing T's with it :? I mean they would make great training wheels, but then you've got to shell out another $3000 for a pair of decent race wheels.

Anyway . . . the S3 with EDGE 45's looks the best by far 8)

100% agree with this. Have never done a double century, but lots of 100mile+ rides and Ive never had an issue.

At the asking price of £1800 without the Zipp Wheels etc. It will be yours for many a year to come in my opinion.

Nice bikes though the S1 - love mine but look at used prices on eBay and they don't very often fetch more than £1K albeit with slightly lower spec (although they do have wheels!)

Love it - much prefer the Black/white/grey to any other Cervelo colour scheme I've seen (although the R5ca in matt black with gloss decals is nice)

There are a hell of a lot of traffic lights in Singapore, by the time I get up to cruising speed its time to stop at the next lights which negates the aero advantage of the Zipps, factor in weight of both the wheels, myself and the bomb proof nature of the Fulcrums it just made sense.

I don't think Pitchshifter is questioning your choice of wheels, just the fact that you commute on such an expensive bike - but then again I think that could be the difference between commuting in London and Singapore. :);)

Ahh, I see, not really the Singapore thing, just that my commute is the only chance I get to ride, I got the bike at a bit of a bargain and dont see the point in sacrificing quality just because it is a commute

However that said, there is no winter here, so its either damn hot and sunny, or hot and raining so as long as you keep the bike clean it doesn't get damaged by crappy road conditions, also i get to keep my bike next to my desk at work, so its safe 8)
