Having a nap boosts recovery??

Has anyone else noticed this.
I notice that after a ride, if I have a nap in the day, rather than stay up till normal sleep time, I find my legs feel more recovered, or if the next day I wake up and still find my legs are stiff, and then in the afternoon have a nap, I wake up and it's like the speed of recovery has just leapfrogged.
Anyone else notice this?

To put it in simple terms, you recover during sleep."A cyclist has nothing to lose but his chain"

I find this is true.
It works for me on a saturday when I'm often as rested as a newt. The dissenter is every human being at those moments of his life when he resigns
momentarily from the herd and thinks for himself.0 -
This is news to you?
Why do you think the human body needs to sleep at all otherwise?!0
