So following on from Ben6899's thread etc there have been various murmurings of a follow up for the 1st summer drinks in Richmond Park, however this time with a change of scenery up in Regent's Park... So who's in? Also does anyone know any bike friendly pubs in the area?!

I'm in. I voted Sunday 2nd September - it's the only date I can make out of those options.

Not sure about the pub choice, I'm afraid. My only suggestion would be that it needs to have outside seating so we can keep an eye on the bikes (usually mine is either in the house or between my legs!)

  • Sadly the 2nd is the one day I can't do Ben, as I have a friend's wedding to go to (won't even be allowed out for the club run in the morning either :( )

Ah that's unfortunate, mate. I'm also pushing it for that Sunday; at a wedding in Swindon the night before!

Engineer is a good shout. Or I thought maybe Edinbro Castle?

Even I can probably, maybe, find my way to regents park and i have the navigational skills of a dead homing pigeon!

Any date is fine for me.

For those unfamiliar with the pubs, here are a couple of links.

    The Engineer: http://theengineerprimrosehill.co.uk/

    The Edinboro Castle: http://www.edinborocastlepub.co.uk/

I have never taken my bike to either, but Edinboro Castle has a large beer garden (presuming the sun is cracking the flags) and is a very decent pub. The Engineer is lovely, but always strikes me as somewhere more suited to people wanting to eat... as much as it pains me to say, I am not sure it's suitable for our needs.

But the thing is we'll be on our bikes, so if we have a list of nominated hostelries, we can bob from one to the next until we find the "right one".

Warp factor or nothing... It's a chance for everyone to show what they're made of... If you can't keep up you get dropped....

I'll have to see how much I pour down my neck at the wedding. Only then can I provide a meaningful answer to the Impulse/Warp Speed debate! :D

Even at Warp Speed, I'm not sure I'll be anywhere near the quickest!

If you turn up on the SS, we'll make you go round in the opposite direction. :P

best pub is probably going to be a bit further away in highgate which would also mean a trip up swains lane...

called the flask, it has a MASSIVE beer garden and after the rollapallooza hill climb challenge it was choker full of cyclists and bikes

Sound. And there are ways to circumvent Swains Lane, if anyone so wishes. :)
