    The questions high in the locals minds here, regarding independance are:

    1. Will a' get mir brew money ?
    2. Will they legalise drugs ?
    3. Will a' get ma brew money quicker ?
    4. Will a' get coopins fir the Co-Op ?
    5. Will a' get free alkohol ?
    6. Will they mak fags cheeper ?

    I lived through the whole "NorthEast Assembly" referendum about ten years ago. The media coverage was all about the Yes campaign, which had a lot of high profile supporters (by NE standards) and the No campaign appeared completely disorganised. As I recall, the vote was 80% No to 20% Yes. Its not wise to believe the media on this.

    That seems to be the jist of Salmonds approach.

    Will we all be lifting up our kilts and using our black puddings to crudely mark a tick in the YES box?

    It's okay because we've got really nice water, a big mountain, and some oil in the north sea. Oh, and did I mention that we're special?

    Gah. I know which box I'll be ticking.
