There are white shoes then there are Rapha white shoes. 8)

And only £300. Is that each, or for the pair?

I reckon yeah, or more pointedly buy whatever you want :-)

I prefer black shoes, but had the option of getting a pair of these for £99 and did so:

If I wanna look cool I put on a pair of boat shoes and lose the socks.

  • White for me too. I'd probably have gone for black if it had been available in what I wanted at the time, but meh...

I can't help but think Wiggo, in his long black socks, looks a bit like when you forgot your PE kit and you had to do cross country in someone else's skanky shorts, your school shoes and socks.

pleased to report that the white shoes are the business and serve the dual purpose of making me look like a dude (who is probably trying too hard) but also riding faster cos I think holy cow, I can't be seen pootling along in these.

I'm sure none of my other fellow cycle commuters has noticed any difference at all.

BTW here's what they replaced; a battered set of Spesh MTB shoes that have seen many thousands of miles since I bought them in April 2001.
