I think he has been poor but accept its not his specialism. The BBC have suffered from not being involved in Cycling in any meaningful way for a long time and therefor have no skilled commentators. My hope is, that with recent tour success and hopefully more success on the track to come, that we will see more coverage and an improvement in the skill setBurning Fat Not Rubber

His main problem is IDing the riders, especially the women, but he's certainly got the gift of the gab. He can keep talking for almost endless sentences, when someone more knowledgable would probably pause badly to think about what to say next. Thank god Chris Boardman is on hand to provide key backup.0
