    Greipel's tan lines are understandable, but Forstemann must just train in panties. As to aesthetics, that is just cartoon-like. Forstemann looks like those officers in the old british army with really puffy trousers.

    Yes it is... you look at either of them and look at the size of one leg compared to the other.... the bloke on the left's right leg is waaaaay bigger than his left leg, and the bloke on the right his left leg is waaay bigger.

    Unless they train that way so they want one leg way bigger than the other :roll:

    (I wasn't saying they didn't have big legs, I was saying the pic is really distorted, which it is.)

    does there become a point when legs can be a hindrance rather than a help. I.e are Fostermann's legs too big to be effective in power to weight but also pedalling efficiency

    He has one leg bigger than the other because of the banking in a velodrome. All that leaning over causes the muscle to accumulate more on one side due to gravity. It's a bit like a 10,000 metre runner having one leg half an inch shorter than the other because of all the turning left they do. I though everybody knew this stuff?

    not even close as it is the right leg which is larger - therefore he must ride in the other direction to everyone else I've ever seen on a velodrome :)
