When some were banging on last week about wanting to wear Yellow and Black sky shirts and wanting to look like Twiggo and Cav. I asked what Colin was up to (As the only legitimate one to warrant such apparel on here) Good to get an answer will defo be getting my support.

Even though I should be supporting Team GB, I'm much rather someone on the BR Forum wins the medals!!

Good luck Colin. Met a lot of cyclists with various disabilities on the lanes of Essex today. All nationalities, so I assume it was some semi-formal training session as there were markers and motorist awareness notices up. A few tandems with (I presume) blind stokers, and several amputees who were going bloody fast! Have the above dates of PF's rides in my diary and will be cheering him on from the sofa.

Ah ha! I was trying to remember Colin's name a while back so I could cheer him on.

<mutter> Colin Lynch, Colin Lynch, Colin Lynch, Colin Lynch, Colin Lynch, Colin Lynch etc ... </mutter>

All the best, Colin, and good luck, although I hope you won't need it.

Just in case people dont know...

He's on twitter as @TTworldchamp and does a reasonable line in updates.

I am looking forward to hearing how he gets on and hopefully seeing some coverage.

Apparently the Irish Team apartment block for the Games has large photos of each member of the squad - including Colin -hanging outside on the walls.

Anyone know when Colin's competing? There's the individual pursuit on tomorrow at 11am and the time trials at 3pm (which is a bugger 'cos I'll be working). :(

  • Colin has qualified for the final, but is up against stiff competition, especially from the Guihua Liang from China who broke the world record.

Good luck in the final Colin.
