Wiggins bike on the news tonight
Just seen Brad on the ITV news, back home going for a ride, but he wasn't on his Pinarello, it was black there was no name on it, had seatstays similar to a BMC, but I'm sure it wasn't one of them. Sorry I don't have any pics, did anyone else spot it and recognise what it was?

It was his beloved Woodworm White Lightning (re-sprayed). He's using it in the Tour next year.

I believe it's a British Olympic Cycling Team bike provided for the Olympics. So straight from the secret squirrel club to Wiggo's arse!0

I believe they are available from Halfords. Can't you usually win one in the last week of the Tour in the ITV 4 competition?0 -
Why has he kept that aweful yellow lid?0

Yes thats the one, agreed it is ugly, well the front end at least0

Weird headtube!Mañana0

And why's he wearing tights on probably the warmest day of the year so far?0

It's a set square's delight. I won't be too unhappy if that technology doesn't filter down. It doesn't look any better than my minging Ribble.0 -
I thought the Pros raced their team sponsor bikes? or is that just the world champs?
the headtube looks horrible regardless though... it surely can't be that stiff?0 -

I'm almost inclined to say that it's better looking than the Fiat Multipla of helmets:
Almost...0 -

Because you must keep your legs covered unless you're racing
.
If you're not racing/training properly your body starts holding lots of water which isn't ideal.
So you cover your legs up and sweat that water back out again.0 -

Looks to me like the aim is to keep the triangles small and so increase stiffness. Quite odd, but interesting.Mens agitat molem0 -
Cav has been out on a similar one, it's the BC bike0

It's completely custom build, not a boardman or any other manufacturer but handbuilt custom.
The handlebars are integrated into the stem. They were supposed to be top secret but obviously unless these are the training machines the secret is out. What remains to be seen is why they are any better or if indeed it makes a big difference0 -

So a Terry Dolan then?"In many ways, my story was that of a raging, Christ-like figure who hauled himself off the cross, looked up at the Romans with blood in his eyes and said 'My turn, sock cookers'"

I should have thought it was obvious - it's a prototype Stealth bike which needs some work, since everyone spotted him.Organising the Bradford Kids Saturday Bike Club at the Richard Dunn Sports Centre since 1998
