2850, I've had injuries and have been away for the past couple of weeks so I'm pretty pleased with that, should be on for 5000 this year, 1000 more than last year :) But mainly my speed is up massively compared to last year as I joined a club last October which has really allowed me to push my fitness.

3,600 miles with no commuting so far this year it's been my most active year so far since starting with a MTB, hybrid and then a road bike in Oct 2011 4 1/2 years in all and 17,000 miles!

2782 miles, with no commuting, hopefully with six weeks of cycling ahead that figure should shoot up.
More importantly i'm enjoying it more than ever.

    1017.

Mostly in May, June and July and most of them on a MTB as I've only had a road bike for 3 weeks.

On http://www.startfarm.co.uk/aspStats/ how do I add miles to a month rather than the total?
How do you mean? Once you've logged in your name on the main table is a link to the New Rides page where you enter the mileage, journey time if you want to (or leave it blank) and the ride type (defualt = Commute, it was written for the Commuting thread), then hit the Add button.

Some do it daily, weekly, or just monthly. And some just enter a new total in the Adjust box further down and avoid adding individual journeys.

I'm being a bit thick I think. I am logged in but cannot see 'New Rides' or any other way of updating with new rides.

    What am I missing?

    Never mind, found it.

    No commuting for me...

    Avg Rides / Week 3
    Avg Distance / Week: 96mi
    Avg Time / Week: 4hr 59m

    Distance: 1,293.9mi
    Time : 84hr 21m
    Elev Gain: 82,367ft
    Rides: 46

Not really sure when you no longer consider yourself a beginner!
Is this based on power, power/kg or duration of riding? :D

Smidsy, if you could only do 8 mile rides in late January, but since then have done up to 3,000 miles over the next 6 months, that's an incredible increase. You must now be super fit.

I ride quite a lot but can't manage 500 miles a month even in the summer. My total is 1,630 this year so far. My target for the year is 3,000 miles.

Well working from home helps and I do at least 100 miles a week.

It may be closer to 2500 than 3000 as I simply multiplied the number of weeks by my rough average and I think I miss counted the weeks

As for being super fit - definitely not. I did do the 48 mile Nottingham Great Bike ride in 2hrs 40 mins the other week but equally 50 miles has taken me 4 hours so its all just numbers really. :P

Anyway off for a 30 miler now so sees ya laters

2200 miles so far this year, having just taken up cycling on 23rd March 2012. Currently sitting just below 800 miles for this month. I try to aim to commute to work twice a week now, which is 21 miles each way (1hr 10 mins on a Boardman Hybrid).

1732 since I first got a bike in July 2010. So 1732 divided by 24 months = 72.17 miles per month x 7 months of this year = about 500 miles.

    Pathetic.

I am aiming to do a minimum of 25 miles a day 5 days a week soon with weekends off. If I did that it would be 3500 miles in 7 months. IF.

2355 logged, probably a couple of hundred on top that I forgot to log / phone didn't record. Either way more than I have done for the last 16 years and only just over half way through. Certainly feeling the benefit.
  • Started riding in Jan and now have a conservative estimate (not the Boris kind) of 4100. Mainly commuting with a few hundred leisure mile thrown in.

Just realised this may be why I'm knackered all the time!
    One for the road.....
