    probably has some energy reserves.

some reserves, he was first over every single mountain yesterday.

anyway, I like Tommy. His slow motion "sprint" to win his first stage is one of the favourite bits of this year's tour for me. everyone in the break had clearly ridden themselves almost to a standstill.

It's been a comparitively bad tour for the Spanish too.

    One stage win. That's it.

Funny how Contador is called a unsporting "doper" - but our own Tom Simpson is held up as some sort of saint for british cycling.

Is Simpson held up as a saint for British Cycling? :?
Standard bearer, great rider, but the manner of his death says it all.

Movistar leading this but others are not sharing the work. Gap is pretty stable.

Well, one did die on his bike with all sorts in his pockets, a sad story, athough I don't think many people think he's a saint. The other one is a comedy liar and a grand tour winning cheat.... anyway... Tommy's doing the jersey well.

To be fair his memory is kept alive in rememberance of how thigns can go wrong. he was a great cyclists, the PED's wern't as effective as they are now also. Simply a tragic memory that is important for alot of Brit cyclists to remember. I like stuff like what Brad has done. Riding with a grab attached to his bars to throw on his memorial when the TDF rides past.

Along with Cavendish. Yes he is with them - that is how fast they are riding (or how he descended).

Yep, Sky fed up with the other teams failing to make life difficult so 3 of them crash into each other for a laugh.

Wouldn't Cav be more help waiting for Porte and then burying himself to pace him back on?
