That's the one.
Used to watch it every year, until NOS encryptions became to tough to crack.
Nice big glasses of red wine, open air, dusk falling, "guest stars" chat and the smoochy frenchie music fade out.
Wonderful stuff, sadly missed.

I am looking forward to Next year's route as this years mountain stages are Pi** Poor - A tour for Everybody yes Mr Prudhomme keep telling yourself that. Having 2 Hors Cat climbs 100kms from the finish on one stage . Downhill finishes, 100kms + TT's ...not exactly a spectacular course..hope am wrong.0

I'm looking forward to something unexpected. Nothing against them, but watching Wiggins and Evans slog it out over a TT filled route doesn't excite me much.
It's the unfancied, improving rider, an early big break or an early attack by a climber that will make the tour.0 -

I think it was Iain on another thread mentioned that because everyone expects the Evans/Wiggins TT battle it might be a complete surprise winner that makes a good break, or pulls some unexpected tactic. If this course really does lack the necessary amount of difficult climbs they'd be crazy to allow a 04/11 style Voeckler break from someone as they well not pull it back. The thing about the excitement factor is despite the course you never know how it'll be raced. As much as I'd love 'Wiggo' to win, I really don't want a controlled race everyday (Dauphine) where he does enough in the TT, to then just cover all breaks, with Sky riding tempo all the time. I want Sagan and EBH at it on the lumpy stages, Hoogerland and Roy riding for 00's Km in breaks and not getting caught. I demand it0 -

Looking forward to more glorious failure (or even better a stage win) from Jeremy Roy.0

I'm torn, looking forwards to Wiggo winning it, but since I'm still in a job this year, I won't be able to slob infront of the TV,watching it all day!Remember that you are an Englishman and thus have won first prize in the lottery of life.0

Not really looking forward to any bits of this year's race, there isn't really a standout stage like there has been in recent years. So the race could be won or lost at pretty much any point, it's hard to predict where. I reckon it will be interesting to watch as you don't know where the important, critical bits will be. Looking forward to it all of it I guess!0

Just had the digital re-tune and have lost ITV4...
Hoping for some electronic miracle whereby some bloke up the transmitter tower will realise he has forgotten to flick the 'bloke' switch and that channel, along with Film 4, Dave, and many others will suddenly appear before Saturday.Half man, Half bike0
