I've put this link on the 'Road General' forum but haven't got a great deal of interest.
Thought I might try and 'whip' up some interest in here.

Any takers? should make things a bit more interesting.

If you're interested and want to join my mini-league. Go to the game ( at http://www.halfordstdfgame.co.uk and go to 'Register to Play' ), pick your team then use the ‘mini-league admin' option to join my mini-league.

I've joined. Already had a team in a league with some mates. Looks like there are no points for GC this year, only stages. Have I got this right?

No GC, Just stage wins and places by the looks of things.

I've emailed Halfords and there is no GC points at the end of the tour this year much to my surprise....here is their official repsonse below:-

Hi there,

No, there are no points gained for final positions this year. Points are scored based on the performances of your riders per stage.

Me too, waiting approval, chose wiggo but prob need to change now there are no points for gc, got cadel as well, oh well.

Quite a strange decision not to give points for GC.
all pending registrations now been approved.
We've got a league of about 20 now.

Created my team about a week ago and haven't really looked at it since. Although there's no points for GC, you do get points if your riders are in the Yellow or Green jerseys- so Wiggins and/or Evans may be worthwhile choices. (Apparently, KoM doesn't score anything though- not sure what the logic is there...)

I'm in, team jepson. with regard to gc points, if one of your rider's remains in yellow you earn 6 points.

We have over 50 competitors now and deadline for new teams is only a few hours away.
I will not have access to a computer for the weekend as my 3 year old son has broken the screen on my laptop!
I finish work at 4 and will check any new applicants just before then but if you submit after this time you will miss out on the first 2 or 3 stages. sorry about that.
