If he's paid €40-50k a year to wheel suck, he wants his head examining.

Well CONI summoned him to explain himself...based on what was written in the press...

CONI said in a statement the day before that Pozzato had been summonsed to explain "news which has appeared in the press concerning him" after La Repubblica daily on June 16 claimed that the former Milan-San Remo winner had links with Dr Michele Ferrari, who this week had doping charges brought against him

Be careful who you quote on Twitter - for once, inrng got it wrong, but he was very swiftly corrected.

Did Pippo walk into CONI, take off his shirt, show them his tattoo and feck off again?

So he's admitted Ferrari was his "ex" coach.

And now we know why he took such exception to Simeoni in the Tour.

This is surely breach of Italian rules, so why has he not been kicked off the Olympic team? Was Ferrari his coach prior to that ruling or after?

Because, being Italy, it appears the ban had expired. There is some kind of admin oversight anyway.

Oh that comes at a really bad time...missing out on a bunch of races he'd be going for.

But more importantly he deals with the Myth and so shouldn't really be racing. No shame in one of Dr F's clients being banned.

I guess he'd take 6 months. Farnese's season is more or less over already, bar a few semi-classics and Lombardia.

He seems relaxed about it. Warning, contains male nudity.

Has he ever been on any of the lists of people trained by the Myth?

If the numbers of north of 50 active cyclists having worked or working with him are true, well, whoa.

Given the state of Italian cycling then how long can he retain that nickname?

    I expect Nibali next

Basso no doubt thought about visiting, but then never did.

When Scarponi was outted as a client a couple of years back, Nibali was the other name. He was going to sue. Was. From what I can gather he sues about as much as Pat L or Armstrong.

Wasn't it Pellizotti and Nibali, not Scarponi? Or was there another rumour?
