Just watched the programme - the US health secretary flew to Geneva to lobby the WHO on behalf of the sugar industry.

Recorded it. But I blame nothing but lack of will power. This one's not even Wiggle's fault !

Will power or lack of will power may be what determines whether YOU are fat or not.

Doesnt apply to everyone though, theres loads of reasons why more people are over weight these days.

Medical issues asside, it's exactly what causes people to be fat.

I defy you to find me a single person on the planet who doesn't realise that over eating and over drinking, doesn't make you gain weight.

A fat bird came up to me in the pub last night and said "Hi, I'm Anita"

I said, "I can f*cking well see that!"

What people might not realise, though, is how much is too much, how to get the right nutrition into your body and just how much crap is in the food they buy.

When food which is packed with sugars is labelled "healthy", you can forgive some confusion.

Quoting myself from the tritalk discussion on this. The problem is bigger than cereal of course but they are often marketed at "healthy starts to your day" blah blah
1/2 cup of cornflakes = 31g carbs of which 8.8g sugar
1/2cup of honey equivalent = 31.3g of which 16g sugar
    1/2cup frosties = 33.8 of which sugar 19.4g sugar

My breakfast 7 days a week:100g Flahavans oats -73g carbs - of which 1.3g sugars (granted I do add cinnamon/mixed spice and a little maple syrup or honey to that.

Ready Brek "central heating for kids" right?

30g serving of chocolate = 19.1g carbs of which 6.3g sugars
30g serving of Original = 17.4g carbs of which sugars 0.3g
