Not a very good photographer - and no white garage door, natch
Neighbours have a "always leave the hallway light on" policy, so naturally the bulb has gone, so here's a picture of my bike in the dark.

Still need to drop the handle bar a spacer or two, and maybe fiddle with my position - but it's a perfect frame size.
Took it for a quick spin before the rain.
Bugger me it shifts when you put the power down. Doesn't feel like there's anything there since it's so light but as soon as you put some power down it just takes off.
VERY pleased with it.0 -

Lovely. Like it a lot, considering one in black.
Do you mind me asking how tall you are and what frame size you ended up with.
I got the tape measure out and went through Canyons fitting guide ( took some explaining to Mrs W why the lap top and a tape measure were on the floor in the bedroom) and it put me on a 54.
I usually ride a 56 and was seriously considering a 58 for next bike, I am 6 foot tall and would say proportional build. so 54 shocked me.0 -
171 with shortish legs with a 52cm frame.
I've heard in the past that the Canyon sizing guide puts people on frames a little small for them.
E.g. Here: http://www.bikeradar.com/gear/category/ ... l-11-43011Just be wary of relying on the online fit engine as it recommends frames on the small side in length and the stems for each size are short too. You can swap your stem for a different length for free at any point during the first month of ownership though.0 -
One quick question - the headset stem thing seems to be hollow - no cover - something I read about before.
I'm a little concerned it's going to fill up with water....
Anyone have any experience with that and a solution?0 -

You know it did the same for me and I went with a 56cm.
I think I would have been better off with the 54cm0 -

€12.90?!?!?
:shock:0 -
Just mugged a bloke at the cafe near my kids nursery on an Ultimate Al size 58, it had a 130 mm stem and he was built like a pro basketball player.
Outcome had to pay for his flapjack, but defo a 56 for me with a shorter (110) stem and now I m thinking I dont need carbon, the ally was seriously good.
We have some friends who moved to Germany last year, Mrs W wants to visit, do they have retail outlets for Canyon in Germany, they live near Stuttgart.
Sorry to nick your thread Rick, What are your ride impressions so far?0 -
S'alright.
It's just been up and down the road a few times to make sure it all works.
Will let you know once I've given it a proper ride.0 -
