Exercise induced asthma can occur in up to 90% of asthmatics, and is highly prevalent in non-asthmatic individuals who take part in high-ventilation or endurance sports. Are there any of you out there who would be interested in volunteering for a research trial to help improve the treatment of the condition?

If you have asthma or exercise induced asthma then we need you!

I am a PhD researcher running a trial at Nottingham Trent University examining whether the management of exercise induced asthma can be improved through dietary manipulation.

Who can take part? – Physically active men (training 3-4 hours a week) aged 18-45, who get wheezy and tight chested during exercise or on the cessation of exercise and/or have asthma.

What will you get out of it? – We will confirm whether you have exercise induced asthma through methods recommended by the International Olympic Committee-Medical Commission (often unavailable from your GP), provide free fitness testing, and potentially reduce your asthma symptoms.
