Valve hole on rims too small...

  • Hi Dan

there's no problem drilling the holes. i've done them a few times as i hate Presta's so i always change my bikes to Schrader's the moment i get a new set of wheels. I've drilled wheels and used them for mounting biking and on a loaded touring bike (bike 48kg and me 80 kgs) through France and Spain etc. it's such a pathetically small increase in hole size . people saying it will weaken the rim are talking out of their rim.

    regards

I think he's probably got it sorted in the last 2 1/2 years.....be a long time to go without a bike over something that minor! But then you only post once every two years and apart from your first post both have been dead thread resurrections......bizarre!
Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.
