Fitting TTCC to my goals

Life has got super busy recently - new baby, moving house, new business, it's all kicking off. I knew it was all coming, so whilst training has taken a back seat I did get up to some level of peak fitness for early season. I'm nw plannin the rest of he year, and I'm looking at using Carmichaels Time Crunched book. Currently I'm targeting 2 back-to-back races on the August BH weekend and one at the beginning of October. Using TTCC, I can hit week 8 for my August races. Unfortunately, from that point there is too big a gap to my last race in October to hold form, but not enough space to take the recommended 4 weeks rest and start another cycle.

My thought is to take a transition week after my race weekend, rest days and base miles, then start again from "week 4" of the plan the next week. This would drop me on week 8 for my October goal. Only problem with this is that I'd be breaking the rules of the plan, and hence i'm not sure how my body would cope...

Anyone have experience or thoughts?

Well, one thought to hold in your head is that you will be up against riders who will have very race hardened legs.
I have been racing since March and if I had only been training and starting to race now, I would be having a very difficult time of it... but then again my own training is pretty haphazard if I analyze it properly, so you may be in a much better place.

There's really not much I can do on that side tbh, "que sera sera" etc... On the plus side, I'm carrying some fitness from early season already into the start of this next cycle, and the guys who have been racing for months might be starting to feel burned out, but whatever, I can't control that. In the same way that I couldn't control the punctures I got in my two main target races for this year. :(

My main worry is that by not taking a proper rest cycle I'll risk burning out. I am interested if anyone can "predict" (based on more than "I reckon") what's possibly gonna happen based on my plan - mainly if I'm just setting myself up for burnout/failure!
