    CRC (and wiggle and probs other on line stores) have a free returns scheme so if your first choice doesn't fit try another pair and the only thing it'll cost you is a bit of extra time waiting for the post. obviously this doesn't extend to using them on the bike itself but then you won't be able to do that in a store either.

    add the cost of shipping and you will not save much and the goods need to look unused. not easy after a ride.

    Its totally free. I've returned shoes before to wiggle using the collect+ thing they have. You just leave them into one of their drop off zones in decent packaging, the person at the till scans it and gives you a receipt and that's that.
