There are about a dozen of us (can swell to about 20 on occasions) that meet at the Bramley Cottage at 9 o' clock every Saturday morning. Its a 40 mile bash with a average speed of anything between 17mph and 20mph.

    More info HERE

There is also a Sunday ride that goes from the lay-by on the opposite side of the road to the Crabbs Cross chippy also at 9 o' clock. Longer in duration and usually at a slightly lower speed. Routes will vary depending on the direction of the wind.

Oh.....forgot to mention that there is also a Thursday morning ride from the little side road on the other side of the bridge to the Tardebigge pub, leaves at 10 o ' clock.

And there is a winter ride starting at 6pm from the car park opposite Cressers Vauxhall every Tuesday night throughout the winter months, more info HERE

I also organise winter track sessions down at Newport Velodrome starting in October, first Saturday in the months for six months, more info HERE

There is also the occasional MTB ride either up or down the tow path or up to the Lickeys.

How many more would you like?

    Doh..............

Note to self, in future check what section the question has been asked in before replying.

Still, taking a positive from it, at least you know that there are plenty of road rides when you come to your senses.....

  • Rather than starting a new post I thought i'd give this one a bump.

Did anyone in Redditch hook up?

I'm fairly new to the area but I'm finding a pretty good mix of short off road sections, some fast road routes with a few killer hills...

... but the winter is a struggle on my own. Due to work restrictions I only get over to Cannock once in a blue moon. But like to get out for a blast once a week if possible.

  • Hi guys. I usually ride to the Lickey's via the canal every other Sunday.
I will make an effort and tag along with you sometime, would be cool to ride with other people for a change :D

Feel free to come and have a ride with us just let me know when.
  • Ok thanks, will do.
  • Hi everyone, just a heads up, I rode with 'Ditch Divas' based in Redditch earlier this month. The guy who took me round at the end said it was a good job the other members were not there due to me lagging behind him. Which I was kinda shocked about considering it was my first time with them. Sure my fitness is not the best, I'm just getting back into it. Now i am informed i am not not worthy to ride with them anymore.
If anyone is wanting to hook up for a friendly ride and has no issues, give me a shout. Peace.
