This looks very tidy indeed, nicely detailed too. Those pedals look like real shin-killers though!!

Never a fan of Trek roadies, but I like their MTB's. Have an o-o-o-o-old rigid frame from 1993, still original and utterly indestructible.

Your bike looks great but i can't comment on weather their good or bad as i've never ridden one but yours certainly looks capable of handling well and i've got a pair of similar pedals which i'm happy with but mine only gets used for trails and commuting so i've not had any untoward moments with them catching my shins ..

Fantastic looking bike but WTF is up with those pedals?! XTR cranks matched to what look like the most basic ageing pieces of crap going - get some proper flats in appropriate colour scheme!

People like you make me sick

The merida is actually a great bike, its alot lighter than i thought it would be when i got it originally and the frame is a work of art, practically every tube is sculpted and shaped on it even the head tube is barrel shaped.

My true love is my remedy though, took me 2 years to get the money together for her which only made it all the more satisfying when i finally collected her from evans. Was like a giddy little school boy when i walked in the place, very embarrassing LOL

Im prepping her for the alps at the mo so everything on her is being replaced for bigger harder wearing stuff.

I didn't use match makers on my remedy. At first I thought I was going to need them until a made pointed out you can push to go up and down the gears. 2010 XT shifters. With the SRAM X0 shifter it's not a problem at all.

Ha ha - Sorry! New pedals are an improvement - not sure about the foam grips though - I had some like those and they just span round and round - ripped them off and replaced with RF Good'n'Evil grips - good density and stay put reliably.

    Race face grips are good,
Yeah I've had foam grips before and they were poo, however these k nc Eva are soft and light and try we're a bitch to get on there's no movement in these wots I ever.
