i ordered some rockshox sektor rl solo air from bike-discount.de

they've been delivered and they're not the same as the ones advertised -

http://www.bike-discount.de/shop/k1025/ ... ml?mfid=45

the ones i have have different graphics and they're QR not 15mm axle. i'm not too bothered about them being QR to be honest as it'll save me the cost of rebuilding a wheel and they'll be on my hardtail anyway so i'll only be riding trail centres and stuff on them anyway. there was also supposed to be a shock pump and there wasn't one - again, not too bothered cos i already have one.

but i'm worried i have the 2011 model, not the 2012 model advertised here's what i got:

Put a magnet on it ;-). If it sticks, it is steel.

It means send them back - they were advertised with the aluminium steerer, which is a LOT lighter. You've been sent a cheaper OE model.

ah sorry, i meant bike-discount.de not the forks themselves...i'm sure (hope) it's just an oversight on their part and it'll all be sorted. just a PITA that i wanted the bike built this weekend to try and get some riding in whilst we actually have sun

These things happen sometimes. CRC sent me the wrong Domains twice before I got the right ones.

Bikediscount have done exactly the same to me. It's taken then 2 days to reply but they've said to post them back and they'll send the correct fork.

    Not very good really.
Too many bikes, not all fully built.

did you have to pay the postage yourself? did you get the right ones in the end?

Ive not sent them yet. I will have to pay postage but it'll be refunded.

Just a bit annoyed that it seems like they're trying it on with customers.

yeah it seems like it might be that way, unless we've both just been unlucky :?

they were dirt cheap so even though i've emailed them i'm considering keeping them, just cos i want a bike to ride and i'm a bit reluctant to send them back under my own steam as they could say they never recieved them etc etc

ah well, i'll see what they say when they email me back

Send them recorded post so that you can track them then they have to sign for them when they receive them. It'll cost a bit more but it sounds as if they'll refund you the cost anyway.

Shame you have to go to all the bother but least you've got all the packaging still.

that's what i was thinking. i'd rather they do it as: a- it'll save me the cost and b- it's there fault if anything goes missing etc

Did it come in a box? If so I doubt bikediscount open them, they will sell them as being what they were told they are, I guess they'll be mighty pi55ed with their supplier right now!
