I'm about to set off on a 5 day, 520 mile event and I wondered if anyone could offer any tips for recovery each night??
Thanks

Recovery drinks - taste awful but seem to do the trick.

I personally would skip the recovery drink unless there's no proper food available. More importantly, make sure that you consume plenty of carbs and some protein as soon as possible after finishing the day's ride. The replenishment of your muscle glycogen is an important aspect of recovering for the next day and your body replenishes glycogen much faster immediately after finishing a ride than it does 3 or 4 hours later. Maintaining your energy reserves well during each day of riding is an important aspect too - keep eating!

Eat constantly, on and off the bike.
