Your favourite burger?

What is your best combination of food to go into a burger?

On Sunday (just gone) I made my variation of a Luther Burger

Here it is:

Bacon - 3 rashers
Onions and mushrooms gently fried.
Jarlsberg cheese melted on the burger (takes ages)
Pork patty (it annoys me that McDonalds says Hamburger and uses beef)
I made a second one exactly the same but with an additonal fried egg.
Ketchup and Mustard (french)
Wrapped between a cinnamon bagel

and I'm in heaven.

I'll post a picture when I get the chance!

You are aware they are called Hamburgers because they originated in Hamburg aren't you? Like Frankfurters coming from Frankfurt. The name has nothing to do with the meat.

So why are beef burgers called beef burgers then?

Why are bean burgers made out of beans and other inedible vegetarian shite?

Because some people are unable to grasp that hamburgers are made of beef and not ham and so marketing nonce renamed them.

The best burger I've found is Tesco Finest Aberdeen Angus burgers done on the BBQ and a thick chunk of Roquefort cheese on top.

S'all about the beef pattie, with onions pressed into them before they get fried on the other side.

With a bit of mayo, dijon, proper lettuce and a tomato slice.

Given the choice, I'll usually take an extra burger over all the other fillings that might be available. In a cinammon bagel? That's wrong, very wrong. My son confuses bagels and burgers, but he's 3 so can be excused.

T'wife makes a good burger. Wouldn't have the first clue what goes into it mind. No reason to know tbh; it might be dead cat for all we know. Mmm. Tasty.

That one.....Sometimes make home made ones with loads of green lentils in and lots of hot chillies. Better than mystery meat from a thousand different corpses, which is what most burgers are

Really? Every supermarket I've been to sells it.

Well, a rubbery version of it, but they call it jarlsberg :p.

Admit it DDD, you only use a cinnamon bagel because you can't get filled krispy kreme doughnuts first thing on a Sunday, otherwise you'd use them as a bun?

    Mighty White maybe.

ETA I've never had a Luther Burger the other half won't let me. For similar reasons she would never let me use a donut as part of my burger.

Didn't we have a coversation last week about what floor we prefer in our house (carpet or hardwood)? I'm sure SimonAH was asking MsMancunia (who is probably still celebrating Man City's successful purchase of the league) for details of hers....

Is this something to do with 'pelvic floor' or carpet appreciation?

Just for the record I have all wood floors in the house, except for the stairs and hall where there are coir runners......coir takes some cleaning after a spillage.

I am so far off topic here.....
