Hesjedal in 5th. Pink jersey for him.

Oh, Basso was there, I missed him finishing. Good stuff.

4 weeks ago in Trentino, Scarponi looked like he couldn't get out of his own way. No such worries today

3 Joaquim Rodriguez Oliver (Spa) Katusha Team 0:00:17
4 Christian Vande Velde (USA) Garmin - Barracuda 0:00:21
5 Peter Stetina (USA) Garmin - Barracuda 0:00:26

    Good last 30km.

Pleased for Tiralongo - great rider. Should fine him for his unzipped jersey though!

I thought that was Cunego and Kreuziger to start. Good from Scarponi - a good way out. Shame he coulndn't get the bonus seconds but Tira has a decent sprint and did well for Kreuziger.

I hope the organisers attribute the few seconds gaps theme.re were and don't just give everyone the same ti

I enjoyed that better that any Montevergine mumble.

Good to see that Frank Schleck was, in fact, vacationing on Berto's beach.
Means that just about all the "contenders" are actually up for it and in decent nick.
Nice to see Nieve looks fine, too.

The Androids? A confusion of climbers?
Rujano losing 40+ seconds to Scarponi on the weakest Giro MTF is unacceptable, given he stuck his nose into the wind when he didn't need to.

I sense this could well end up another Giro of the intermediate years, for the enigmatic Venezuelan.

Garmin on unbranded frames? Pretty sure this isn't the first time i've seen this?

Looks like they have Cervelo on the bike but not sure why they haven't got it in a colour you can see.
