At risk of sounding like Frenchie but it doesn't half make the line look ragged when you have riders in national champs jerseys instead of team kit!

Poor by Sky then considering BMC had a big moment and managed the same time. Really don't know where that Katusha ride came from!

I thought BMC did quite well considering the state of Phinney, it looked like they had to slow for him a few times. I bet that ankle hurt.

The post above doesn't show them at all? Did Katusha win or Garmin-Barracuda then?

"I had a bad day personally. I don’t know if it was the crash the other day or what, but I had nothing today. The team had to wait for me a couple of times, I have to thank them. Fortunately I didn’t fall today as well, but from my third pull on the front, I could see that something wasn’t right. I’m very disappointed, I don’t have a lot to say. I didn’t have a lot of power. I gave the maximum, I gave everything I have. I have to thank they team. They could have left me but instead they slowed and waited for me.”

I was referring to Garmin having 6 riders in the top 10 of GC.

Rodriuguez must be in seventh heaven, having gained time on all his rivals, after two of the three clock stages.

Looking at the squad did anyone expect Sky to do amazingly? You can throw a blanket over 10 teams there from 3rd to 12th, so I don't think they did that badly.

Now I know Euskaltel are never any good at TTT, you have to ask why they're bothering to race at this level when they're 37 seconds off the nearest team. I know they'll probably have a rider go off in the mountains and win a stage and this gap now gives them a chance for others to let them go, but it really is woeful watching them for 90% of the season.

As long as he (J Rod) goes into the final TT with 20 mins, he could win!

I was commenting just after another results post up the page which showed the results without Garmin-Barracuda, where people were already commenting like yourself on them.... didn't know where they'd come at that point, and no TV on.

He'll still blow up on the Stelvio though.

    Basso +47
    Uran +58

Piva and Zabel both at Katusha. Must've taken some of those organising skills from High Horse with them.

well Garmin had this stage in sight the whole time especially given that they went out of there way not to ride in Denmark. sky where on the front for two days riding in a very commanding way cost them a bit...

Personally I was expecting the gaps to be slightly bigger than they were, probably good in some ways as keeps a decent group of guys in touch with the lead.

So with this event at the Worlds this year, could we see a team all with World Champions skinsuits at a team time trial next year?

Was Phinney's nose part of the bloodstock programme ? Saw a shot today and he looked like a bullet in his TT helmet.
