    Do you live up north? I live in North Tyneside and sometimes (if you get a strong solar flare, a clear night and a touch of luck) you can see a small amount of the Lights.


    No Mate, I live near Derby.

    It doesn't stop me looking though, even though I know I'm not really far enough north. I keep an eye (not literally :roll: ) on the solar weather and when we get good storms I go out and check.

    We have had them this far south, I think there might have been one in 1989. My mother-in-law spotted it but didn't want to call because we'd moved house that day and she thought I'd be too tired to look!
