cav giving it a big push,

are the Lampre guys using the new twin foil bikes? they look odd at the front end.

Has he said 'bonifications' yet? Does he realise how innuendo-y this is?

    He has now! :D

Bennati's rolling a huge gear, not doing him that much good.
As noted by Eurosport's commentators, Cav in a normal Sky skinsuit, rather than his rainbow jersey, looks odd.
The scenary isn't much to shout about, but what's there to see around the "Textile capital of Denmark"?

Probably only got the one skinsuit with him to be fair although, if I were WC, I'd want to wear the stripes at EVERY opportunity I could! :)

Not TT world champ so cav wears a normal skinsuit. And since you're supposed to wear the rainbow stripes at every possible opportunity, no reason not to wear it on a warm down.simples.

Wow... what a ride by Phinney! Gutted for G but it'll be cool to see Taylor in Pink.

I'm aware he's not TT world champ meaning norm skin suit.

But 'supposed to wear rainbow at every possible opportunity'... Really?

Would have gladly seen my PTP pick drop a place in return for G getting pink. I assume he'd have been the first Welshman to lead a GT? Maybe Cav can lead him out for some bonus seconds ;)

did someone earlier say this was dull, and that they were turning over to the FA cup? after that cross channel experiment, you'll be back on the Giro now then !

    Howler from Little Boots.

Basso around same time as Roman K which for this kind of effort is good.

    Astonishing ride by Taylor.

Anyone watching this with any interest?

Sort of but I was knitting at the same time! Just so it doesn't look like I'm sitting around all afternoon.

Good way to open a gt and create those gaps.

Annoying for scarponi. Cunego, rujano, gadret and nieve all losing out. Pozzivivo didn't do as bad as I thought he would. J-rod doing well. No idea what bobridge is doing a minute down...

Big times from phinney and G.
