Impressive crash

That is a horrible crash. I hope the rider was OK, somehow, after that.

I was making a satirical comment about the this thread not just the last crash.
Why do you want to see a bunch of crashes ?
why do people want to post a bunch of crashes of people getting hurt?
Does it come down to a cheap laugh i.e. the Muttley photo0 -

WTF were they unable to move the start gate in time? Nice of the front man to warn the rider behind - team mates hey?
The other team had a false start and the gun was fired, twice, to stop the race. The Chilean team obviously didn't hear it and continued to race, whilst the race officials left the gate in place for the re-start. The full video is here;

The Chilean rider, Irene Aravena, fractured her kneecap in the accident but is expected to make a full recovery.0 -

Weird reaction with his arms!Contador is the Greatest0

Looks like the bars or something at the front end of the frame broke and then he let go cos he had no choice but to go no handed arms out to try balance and stay upright, last no-hope-chance autopilot type thing.0
-
That's what I thought - looks like the stem breaks0
-
It was the steerer - the whole bars and stem became useless and it was a vain attempt to try and balance - hard when the front wheel was all over the place.
It was probably his best shot at winning too.I'm left handed, if that matters.0 -
Steerer tube broke.

This one shows how fast they really are going on the bricks.. And how hard they fall...

The peloton were coming like a train behind them so no time for crying on the floor!0 -

You only need two tools: WD40 and Duck Tape.
If it doesn't move and should, use the WD40.
If it shouldn't move and does, use the tape.0 -
Taken at the 2006 Tour of Qinghai Lake Merida rider Kui Song came unstuck while collecting supplies back at his team car. Needless to say he didn’t continue on, but he could consider himself lucky to only have a sore arm.

Reminds me of a How The Race Was Won, where the car symbolised Cycling.tv and the rider symbolised their subscribers #satire0

I'm surprised this doesn't happen more often. I get quite nervous at times watching riders with the team car especially when it's the driver trying to pass stuff out to them while negotiating street furniture. There was one example on London-Surrey where the car had to drive towards the riders as he was passing stuff up going into a roundabout.0 -

Stannard's from the other day in Liverpool, reminded me of Stybar's in Eneco0

China - Caused by the backpacker with the camera? Lens shortening the view of the sprinting bunch?0
