Hi all,
Am having major problems setting up the rear mech adjustment. The Hi & Lo screws are fine its the cable adjustment for up and down.
Is there something different to normal set up, it just wont click through the gears properly. Its a new cable and been lubed.
Any help would be good.

Setup is no different to any other.
Sounds like poor routeing,to much friction or just poor set up.
Which way are you having shift issues. Pulling the cable with the over or with the spring pulling it?"Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

No different to any other Shimno mech. Could you be more specific - what is actually happening, or not happening.I don't do smileys.

Am thinking its the outers,
It seems to change down ok but its the up... only seems to have a barrel adjuster on the mech not on the shifter????http://www.swbikemechanic.co.uk ,SW Bike Mechanic is a mobile Bicycle workshop specialising in repairs and servicing for cycles in the Weston Super Mare and Somerset area

That will be he problem.
You only need one adjuster.
What is up and what is down.
Up to 1 or up to 789?"Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

Up is small to large and down is large to small....
thought 1 adjuster was right, will do outers that should sort it out...http://www.swbikemechanic.co.uk ,SW Bike Mechanic is a mobile Bicycle workshop specialising in repairs and servicing for cycles in the Weston Super Mare and Somerset area

Up in a car is to a higher number gear isn't it.......
So it will shift to the smaller gears OK but not the largers.
Is it a rapid rise mech which shifts to the biggest gear with no cable pull? If not it is NOT a cable issue, just your setup.Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.0 -
OK,
All sorted, outers and a loose Jockey wheel......
