Rujano gets to the front for Pozzovivo. Small man solidarity.

Not enough people in this world called Hubert. I presume he has brothers called Cuthbert and Tarquin.

Nice win for Colombia. That Betancour chap is shaping up quite nicely, too - he was up there in that monster 8 hour stage in the Giro last year.

Very impressive from all those finishing around about now. Great climb, great riding.

Massive congratulations to Pozzivivo - clearly the best.

Yeah, 4th (just checked) although 58th overall.

His win in Giro dell'Emilia was good.

Darwin! That's a pretty good first name, too.

According to Inrng his first name is John. Presumably he's also been Colombian long-distance canoeing champion.

Bit better from Basso today. And at least now Rick can't say he's not finished a race
Fckin' Quintana … that creep can roll, man.

Stage 3 was bloody awesome - really enjoyed watching that (HD was fab) and can't wait for the Giro now. Fleche was incredibly boring in comparison.

Rujano is one weird looking fella - spooks me out a bit actually!

At the risk of being a terrible bore.....it wasn't in HD.

I wish the Italians would broadcast their races in HD, they deserve it.

    You are not a bore.

This is a MASSIVE grievance of mine: and I, am a MASSIVE bore about it.
So I've spent a ludicrous amount on a snazzy HD telly... I spend a dizzying amount on my Sky HD subscription... and then these tosspots pump out pictures of races (that had me champing at the bit) that look like a teenager's YouTube phone video from 2005.

Same thing happens every year at the Tour: I get a couple of choice days watching the entire output of stages put out in "proper" HD (which currently means switching between Eurosport HD and iTV4HD: unbeatable Dave 'n Sean, in my book - can't bear Phil 'n Paul - but really like Ned Boulting) and then bang on about why that justified the whole year's subscription.

Who am I kidding, Iain: I was just being polite... I bet you're a massive bore, too. Big up, The Bores!

Oh well, picture looked good to me. But then again, my eye test results last week did say I need new lenses!

Goon to see some glimpses of Nicholas Roche as well. Reading his book at the moment which is pretty decent.

    :P

I didn't realise the Giro route was so heavily weighted towards the back end.

In light of that, maybe Basso & Scarpo being rubbish now isn't so bad. If you need to be good at the back end of May, mid-April form isn't much use.

Then again, you do need a certain amount of form going into the Giro to make sure you're not totally shagged come week 3.

So we can expect Cunego to be rubbish then.

Down 2mins. I guess that is decent. I thought he'd roll in 5mins down.
