    So what happened... new bike?

Yes, wheelies were dealing with it on behalf of M&S. I sent my old one (3 weeks old) back to them and they sent a replacement.

Since this all happened I've actually bought another road from Merlin Cycles to use as my every day\winter bike.
  • Oh ok nice one.

    What did you get?

    One of these. http://www.merlincycles.com/bike-shop/b ... -bike.html

Due to the weather and being away I haven't had time to ride it yet.
  • I would have spent a tiny bit more and got a Scott Speedster ;)

Nice idea, however originally I was looking at a Triban 3 which was already £100 less than I spent. Considering I already have the Foil, a Scott Spark 20, Lapierre Spicy 316, GT Avalanche Expert and a Tacx Fortius Trainer along with my cheap mountain bike on I had to draw the line somewhere. :) I'm also looking to put up a new garage this year and I want a quad one.

    1) Good thing you're ok

    2) That's why you don't train on an expensive bike. Now you know.

number 2 is the biggest load of crap ive heard. There is more chance of crashing in races than there is on the road. Id know because ive done both!!

Yep I use my expensive bike all the time. Had an off same as yours this Sunday and done fair bit of damage to myself but it was the one day I trained on my cheap bike.
