Riding in Huddersfield

Are there any locals from Huddersfield loitering in these forums? I've just moved here from the flats of Cheshire a week ago and I'm looking for some good tips/routes on riding in the area. I'm used to riding up to 50 miles regularly and I'm not afraid of hills, but a mixture of flat and scenic as well as some long (not wall like) climbs would be apppreciated if anybody can supply me with road names/numbers or areas I can feed into my Garmin before heading out?
Much appreciated!

If you do 50 mile runs the world is your oyster!
You could head into the peak, huge range there, the calder valley and surroundings, miles of great routes. Up to emley, flockton area. Holmfirth, woodhead, penistone.

Hi
I grew up in huddersfield now live in Cheshire. I occasionally ride from wilmslow to huddersfield. The road/hill out to marsden is a nice long slog, alternatively Honley, Holmfirth to woodhead.

Cheers Josh. I've had a look at the site and it sounds pretty ideal for me. Tuesday nights and Saturday mornings would be perfect so I shall aim to get myself out next week!0
