Has anybody seen any protein ready to drink bottles in any of the large supermarkets? Ideally looking at 500ml or above?

Asda stocks 'For Goodness Shake', a protein/carbohydrate recovery shake for Post ride. It's my drink of choice although I buy the powder and make it up myself.0

I've seen over-priced ready to drink protein shakes in Asda - with the vitamins and medicines. You'd have to be daft to pay those sort of prices though when you could buy a big bag of whey powder from Myprotein for a fraction of the cost per serving or a pint of milk instead.More problems but still living....0

This. Although I paid £13 for a 1.2kg tub of Powerbar recovery, can't beat that at price per serving. FGS are very overpriced... I used to use them when they first arrived on the scene, but they have since become very commercial and overpriced. Friji milkshakes sometimes appear on offer in supermarkets, they're a good choice. Again, don't spend £1.30 on them though.0 -

3 TSPN Nesquik = 155cals | 21.2g sugar | 4g fat | 2.5g saturates | 0.28g salt
Mars Refuel = 172cals | 27.4g sugar | 4g fat | 2.6g saturates | 0.34g salt |3.1g protein per 100lml
FGS(100ML MILK)= 52cals | 9.4g sugar | 0.1g fat | 0 saturates(I think) | 0.1g Salt | 3.3g protein per 100ml (The 100ml milk throws the actual numbers off )
Frijj Chocolate(per 100ml) = 77cals | 11.4g sugar | 1.2g fat | 0.7g saturates | trace of sodium |3.9g protein per 100ml
I think though, even pricing all of those,a bag of maltodextrin+whey protein and mixing your own still works out around £50p ea (total guesstimate I haven't done the sums but it won't be much different.Example only wrote:Myprotein instant whey: 2.5kg bag(£25.99) = 100 25g servings @ 25p ea
Myprotein maltodextrin: 2.5kg bag(£7.49) = 100 25g servings @ 7pea
32p per recovery drink (maybe a little more factoring in milk quantity and postage)
1 serving(25g) of MP IW: 98cals | 20.5g protein | 1.7g fat | 1.5g carbs
1 serving of MP(25g) M : 95 cals | 23.5g sugar | trace fat |0
