Online casino

Anybody play? Got to be very careful with the terms and conditions! I signed up to 32Red and deposited a £20 and they gave me a £32 bonus. Great I thought - until I found out you have to play it off THIRTY times before you can withdraw! You can't chose whether to bet with your own deposited cash, or the 'bonus' cash - it comes out of the deposit. And until you have played through £960 you can't withdraw a thing.

The casinos are not really my area, so take this with a pinch of salt, but my understanding is that standard practice with the casinos is that you have to play through the non-deposit bonuses 30 times before you can cash it out. The first deposit bonuses and reload bonuses are a bit different. They'll usually make you play through your first deposit once before releasing the bonus to your account, and you then have to play through your bonus 20 times before that is released for cashout.
Online slots are usually set to around 96%-98% payout. If you insist on blowing money on them, look for a casino that offers 98% slots, you'll blow through your stack slower (they're also less likely to offer the headline bonuses).
Assuming a $20 non-deposit bonus you need to play through $600 before they release anything for cashout. Chances of grinding out more than $600 from $20 on slots are going to be about zero.

The way they structured it was that by giving you a 'bonus' (that you could not refuse), they didn't allow you to withdraw your OWN money! Very unfair, they force you to play through. For example you could deposit £20, and they give you £20. Their rules are you must see a turnover of 32x the bonus ie £640. You put £10 on green zero and win say £320. You can't touch it! You need to play thprough another 300 or so, by which time you might have lost the lot. Ridiculous, it forces you tp play.

i was once advised to only gamble with money you can afford to lose and as im a pikey devil and money never seems to go far enough no matter how much you have, i rarely, rarely gamble.
that said, ive been to the horses a couple of times and to the dogs a couple of times. at the horses i would only gamble a maximum of 50 quid each of the times and at the dogs i think i only gambled a maximum of 20 quid. broke even each time but i was only putting a couple of quid on at a race and never actually came close to placin as much as i had taken.
animal racing is a lot more fun with a few quid on it but i find casino slots and roulette to be an utter mugs game, sme goes for slots and gamlers in pubs.

As someone who works in the online Poker industry, I've heard it all. Every crakpot theory going about how Poker is rigged, and I've yet to find one argument that holds any water. The day someone manages to convince me with actual facts, is the day I'll jump ship. Can't see it ever happening though, if I thought even for a second, that something shady was going on, I'd quite simply not be here.
My particular company has been around for over 10 years now. In that time we've dealt *almost* 80billion hands. That's right, 80 BILLION. (we only do poker)
If anything was less than random in any way, it'd have been turned up by now.
There was actually one case a few years back with one company who had a "superuser" account. But that was quickly uncovered (check 2+2 forums and you'll soon find what I'm talking about) and the company in question went under VERY quickly. That portrayed a very negative image of the industry, as we all got tarred with the same brush (to be expected really).
There is simply nothing for these companies to gain from "rigging" the games. Especially with Poker. The house wins regardless. We take a rake from each dealt hand. That way, you're not playing against the house, ever. You only play against other people. There is no incentive for any poker company to do anything else. We've got thousands of players analyzing billions of hands, plus independant companies, and various licensing authorities. If anyone actually hd any evidence this was going on, it would be worth literally billions of dollars.
The casinos are a bit different, you ARE playing a machine there, but the odds (especially on slots) are no better than in a regular casino. In fact, they are actually slightly better because they need to be as compatition amongst the casinos is so intense.
Think about the amount of money brick and mortar casinos make. And they have a fixed location with very specific footfall. Online casinos have an entire planet as their potential footfall, and a fraction of the overheads of a "real" casino.

They operate now as proper casinos. The house ultimately always wins remember. Sure you can make the odd win here and there and they allow for that, but the odds are against you (and that's legal). You will ultimately lose or otherwise make a small insignificant amount and run away. The rules stacked against the intro freebies mean you are very unlikely to come away with anything unless you put in money yourself. Like a lottery, there are the very few who will win big. Your chances there are tiny. These winners will more than likely come back for more and blow it.
Frankly you may as well go for a payday loan shark (sorry, legitimate loan company
Or go to Vegas. Sure you lose your money but it's more fun. Maybe get married at the same time
Anyway, I deposited a tenner, won £65, drew that out, then claimed my £40 ;-)
