I need insulin just reading this!

Diabetes is a cruel disease...they make you carry chocolate around with you THAT YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED TO EAT!

I carried a packet of M&m's around for an entire year (only chocolate I cant stand)

+1 for the memory of CDM

    Galaxy all day long.......
And it'll take you all day long to get it off the roof of your mouth! Horrible cloying chocolate.

Seeing as I live nearby and it's great stuff this is what you want if you like milk chocolate

Agreed, flat taste and awful texture.

    Cadburys is unbeatable.

CDM has too much sugar and too little cocoa .
Sainsbury's own brand stuff, or pretty much any other own brand for me. In a corner shop I'll go for a Kinder Bueno.

Lindt loses marks for being in massive pieces, and for their dark stuff being more bitter than others at the same % cocoa.

Does Aero count? It's just milk chocolate with bubbles in it...

    OH yes.

Aero mint, the lovely cheap milk chocco mixing with the chemically minty bubbly bit. It should be sh!t but it is luurverly.

I used to get Caley's and go and visit my friend in Leeds. We'd then go climbing at Caley Crag and eat the chocolate.

    Cadbury's twirl.

    Close the thread.

For 'non-gourmet' chocolate, absolutely this. Twirl and a glass of cold milk - nom nom nom.

Yea Twirl is the winner for me.
Although at this time of year, Cadbury's easter egg chocolate is hard to beat.

    Dairy Milk.

Last year before Easter I had a bout of campylobacter food poisoning. I was ill for about a fortnight, lost a load of weight and felt awful. So getting back on topic, when I started feeling better (but weak) it was the easter weekend and all I could do was lay on the couch, watching daft films with my 3 kids and ate the best part of 4 big easter eggs. 2 of the said eggs were large dairy Milks and I just could not stop eating them. Big tangent I know but the memory of feeling better and scoffing chocolate my body was willing me to eat is one which keeps me warm at night. Dairy Milk all the way, chocolate for mind, body and soul.

Galaxy or Dairy Milk. Wispa's were the best about 7 or 8 years ago before they disappeared. There not as nice after their return to the shelves..

Any box of Thorntons minus the coffee ones.
Galaxy is too creamy, Cadbury's if it's been in the fridge for ages and anything from small shops that sell truffles etc loose.

Thought it was me but now I know that someone else thinks the same about the re-launched Wispa. :(
