Quite pleased with myself today. :D

I've been riding a particular loop for about 2 years now and always take just over two hours give or take a couple of minutes..quite frustrating really. It's 35 miles with 2 or 3 stiff climbs and 2000feet total, quiet lanes, no traffic or lights to contend with, best time 2hrs2min so nothing to set the world alight.

I was racing Saturday and did a 6-2 shift today so went around it intending to do an easy spin as I didn't feel that fresh.

Only took 5 minutes off my best time, easily beat 2 hours and well chuffed.

Now is this just some fluky day where it all went right or is it some weird after effect of the race on Saturday (my first attempt at a circuit race). Anyone else get this after racing?

I'm a bit scared now that next time I go out I'll be back to my usual slower self :?
