Nothing like a TTT to get people talking eh......

Surprising results, can't see this stage having that much of an effect on the result at the end of the week now they've got a proper summit finish in the race.

True, the likes of Goss, Meyer, Langeveld, O'Grady all have big engines. What is more surprising is that the likes of Astana, Aqua Sapone and Lampre beating BMC and Liquigas.

For people who used to like the Cervelo Beyond the Peloton films, GreenEdge's Bsckstage Pass series is shaping up nicely. Not as arty, but more immediate.

    Here's their one about today's win: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xlCo_LTJ ... e=youtu.be

(Why don't Sky do stuff like this? They are the specialists after all).

Gilbert, Belgian ITT Nat Champ, was dropped.

BMC 58secs back, with names like Evans and Pinotti....

In front of Freire, then Farrar, then Sagan.

Not a very "clean" leadout, but he did the job. No Greipel in the mix - there was a crash late doors.

Fair enough, I'm just reading of twitter.

    Terrible stage.
    230kms at under 35kph.
Friere looking good for M-SR, over that long distance.
Sagan's finishing speed was very impressive, but his timing was like Gerrans, the other day.

35kph, are they training for MSR or for the local crit league?

Good strong win from Cav though, passed Farrar so easily. Friere there or thereabouts, he may not be as fast as Cav but he's smart, real smart.

6hrs in the saddle sounds about MS-R-ish.

Planned move from Sky or was Cav dropped/crashed/busy doing other things?

He was nowhere to be seen in the run in but appeared to congratulate EBH not long after the finish so he didnt crash. He certainly didnt contest the sprint; whether that was planned or not I dont know.
