    Brilliant. OP asks about switching out a 12-25 for a 12-21 and he gets a page and a half of people going on about whether anyone needs an 11t sprocket... :roll:

    I did actually say 12 x 21 is a good choice :D but then got drawn in by claims of spinning out on a 53 x 12.

    To be fair the responses were brought about by one of the first responses suggesting that an 11 up cassette is likely to be required to prevent spinning out on a 53 x 12!

    Most people have advised going for as much of a straight through cassette as possible as well as querying the spinning out issue.
