would you use a carbon bike on a turbo trainer ? i have been using my alloy winter bike on turbo, but now the better weather is soon coming i shall be dusting off my tcr advanced carbon bike, as the geometry is slightly different to my winter hack, should i start using the tcr on turbo sessions to get a few miles under my belt before i start doing club runs on the tcr?? or is carbon on a turbo a definant no no?

I use carbon, aluminium and steel framed bikes and have never had any problems with any of them. Giant may have recommendations about their carbon bikes on turbo trainers.

I wouldn't worry too much about the difference in geometry either, unless it was the difference between a normal bike position and a TT position.

It's been asked dozens of times - yes carbon on a turbo is fine.

No need to ride it on the turbo to get used to it though ? Presumably it's a similar fit to your training bike ?
