yeah you may laugh and mock, did I mention the poor part? did that imply that not all of us can afford spanky modern stuff? Imagine this, training for years on a bike twice the weight of yours and what that accomplishes, £250 quid is a lot to some folk, come down here and put your fancy carbon money where your mouth is, we may not have many hills but what we do have is near vertical, it ain't the bike it's the engine behind it. I'll even kick yer butt on my 20yo team banana, why am I even wasting my breath, you"re probably all over 40 'weekend warriors' that think having the latest stuff makes you somebody, it doesn't.

Riding a bike should make you happy, doesn't matter what bike, if you've lost that give up now, you'll never be a true cyclist, I've bmx'ed, mtb'd and road cycled and have done it all, 540 tailwhips, 18ft drops, and 200 milers, give me a break from your 'there not the right wheels etc.etc.' get out and ride.....dimwits

    and I'm 40 tomorrow.

Please accept my humble heartfelt apologies. I'm off to hide in a corner for a while.

    No worries, mate.

Internet and booze is generally a bad mix, but no harm done. We all had a laugh at your little strop. :D

    Thanks guys,

Can't believe you chaps are so understanding, I don't usually drink, well the odd glass of vino once in a while, never touching navy rum again! Don't suppose there's any way of deleting this thread and reposting, will just have to live with horror of it all, that's after I clear up the mess I made of facebook and apologised to the missus

Ahhh - I wondered what that was all about yesterday. Don't worry mate - the old drunken rant - we've all been there - and the oh no what have I done feeling the next day! You were big enough to come back and own up - good for you. Believe me, we'd all be painting our beaters if they ended up looking that good - enjoy it - and happy birthday!
